HOW TO MAKE YOUR OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTO SESSION A STRESS-FREE EXPERIENCE

Talking with my potential clients, with you, I very often hear you’re afraid that you might ruin the final results of your family photo session because you wouldn’t know how to pose, your kids would not behave and many, maaaaany others reasons.

That is why I decided to make a short list of tips, I hope you will find useful and they will give you some peace of mind and encourage you to book a photo session (with me :)) or look forward to the session you’ve booked already.

1. Only take what’s really necessary – keys, mobile phone, bottle of water, small snacks, a nappy. I’m happy to carry them for you so we don’t have to worry about the valuable stuff laying around.

2. Don’t promise your kids any reward. I know, I know. Temptation is strong, we’ve all been there but once you say “I give you/you can… right after the session” they might sound alike a donkey from Shrek “Are we done yet?!”

3. Make your photo session an adventure! Make it sound exciting! Tell them it will be fun and you want to save those moments for them! Only speak in positive way about it. Your children can sense if you’re not really keen to do something.

4. Solve all the little arguments before you leave the house. Simple, yet important.

5. Be thoughtful about their clothing - no one likes to be too hot or cold, especially little kids. Also choose the COMFORTABLE pieces that doesn’t restrict movement.

6. Schedule the naps. You don’t have a photo shoot everyday, if you want dreamy light at golden hour make sure your child have a nap before.

7. If something happen during shooting just keep calm

8. TRUST YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER We are really there to do our best to deliver the gallery we are proud of, it’s never our intention to make you look or feel bad.
