Hi Friend!

Hi, I’m Magda, one-woman band, a family and wedding photographer based in Middlesbrough.

12 years ago I purchased my first, very basic camera and started with taking photos of.. food. But with the arrival of my first daughter I switched my interest to photographing her little feet and capturing all her milestones. In 2021, with my second daughter in my arms, dreading the idea of going back to work, I set up a photography Instagram account and my 3rd baby was born - my business, Magda Bury Photography.

When I'm not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me wandering through the woods or scouting beautiful new locations across the North East, UK.

At home, I’m usually curled up on the sofa with one of our two cats on my lap, watching sewing or gardening related videos on YouTube. Grandma’s hobbies for the win!

You might also find me at the kitchen table working on my next slow-fashion sewing project, or reading with my children from our ever-growing book collection.

As a mum to two amazing girls—and as someone who cares deeply about people and the planet—I believe in using my voice and platform to stand up for what matters - including speaking out against fast fashion and using my privileges to support the oppressed.
